Fixed a sync error that could occur when editing a subtask in the app after deleting its parent in Toodledo.

When moving multiple tasks to a new parent, the app now prevents the user from choosing an already-selected task as the new parent.  This, in-turn, prevents a corresponding sync error from occurring.

2/24/2012: Version 1.7.1:

Added a button to the task editor to open the linked contact.  You can now jump directly to the contact in order to place a call, send an e-mail, or get driving directions.

Fixed an issue that prevented the creation of a task from the contact app on certain devices.

2/9/2012: Version 1.7:

Enhancements:

Ability to select multiple tasks and perform batch operations.  To activate, press Menu -> Multi-Select or swipe from left to right on a task.

Tasks may now be linked to contacts on your device.  When viewing a task, you can jump directly to the contact in order to place a call, send an e-mail, or get driving directions.

Tasks can be created from the device's contacts list by using the "share" function.  This creates a new task linked to the contact you are viewing.

Ability to use SSL encryption when syncing with Toodledo.  (If you sync with Google, this has always been encrypted.)

Start and due times may now be viewed in the task list.

Tags may be renamed and deleted in the tag list.

The app may be installed on an SD Card.  See the note below for important limitations of this feature.

Hyperlinks are now enabled for notes in the task editor.  You can now tap on phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and postal addresses and the appropriate app will be opened.

Additional information about each account is displayed in the Account Management area.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed an issue that would sometimes prevent the task list from appearing when tapping on the widget.

The task editor has been updated to make it easier to select and update items.  The area that can be tapped on for each field has been increased.

Changes made to a task's title are no longer lost if the screen is rotated.

Updated some icons in the app for consistency.

Improvements to the German translation.

Known Issues with SD Card Installation:

If you install Ultimate To-Do List on an SD card, you may experience the following issues.  These are due to limitations within Android itself and our outside of our control.

Home screen widgets are not available.

After a reboot, reminders for tasks will not appear until you have run the app at least once.

If your device is connected to a computer and appears as a USB drive, the app will not be available.

After disconnecting from a computer, reminders for tasks will not appear until you have run the app at least once.

Attention Android 1.6 Users:

Due to the new features, we are no longer able to support Android 1.6.  If you attempt to install this release on an Android 1.6 device, you will experience frequent crashes and the app will be unusable.  If you ever need to reinstall the prior version of Ultimate To-Do List, contact us and will will e-mail the installer to you.

Significant improvements to the user interface, including a redesigned home screen and a new command bar that provides faster access to common commands.

New options to reverse the sort order.  For example, dates can now be sorted from latest to earliest instead of earliest to latest.

Support for Toodledo's Importance field.

Task cloning is available, allowing you to copy a task and make adjustments.

Additional options are now available when long-pressing on a task, including changes to priority, dates, star, folder, and status.

Integration with Agenda Widget for Android.  (The next release of Agenda Widget will support UTL tasks.)

Integration with Pure Calendar Widget.

Other apps can now create tasks in UTL through their "share" or "send to" function.  This allows you to create a task from a web page, web link, e-mail, or selected text (if supported by the other application).

A new option is available to go straight into edit mode when tapping on a task.

Enhancements:

The task editor has been redesigned to offer a cleaner layout which hides fields that you are not using.

Overall performance has been improved. The biggest improvement will be seen when using tags.

An option has been added to disable the task counts that appear on various screens. Choose this option if you are still having performance problems after the upgrade.

The task and note lists now remember where you are. When you exit a list and then return, you will be taken to the list items you were previously viewing.

Updated some graphics to look better under Android 2.3's dark theme.

Several updates to the overall appearance.

Fixed an issue in which tags could not be cleared when editing a task with existing tags.
